KARUIZAWA NEW ART MUSEUMhttps://knam.jp/en/events/2025/22755/The exhibit is complete! Diane will continue her journey around Japan with the bird in her hands for three weeks. Diane flew from France to Japan with nearly 200 birds, arriving in Karuizawa on April 4th. The exhibition was successfully completed in a day and a half. Each bird was made by a different artist, and some had poems written on them, some had letters in their paws, some had red crests made by children and were painted in unusual colors, some had real feathers pasted on their bodies, and some were made in a prison workshop... The names of various countries, including France, Turkey, Italy, Ukraine, Germany, Belgium, Argentina, and the United States, were written on each bird's mail along with the address and the name of the sender. A wide variety of birds with different backgrounds. I created a story for each one, as if they had come from the garden of the museum's chapel, and repeatedly exhibited each bird while imagining a flock of birds drawing a realistic line. This exhibition can be seen on the wall to the left of the chapel in the museum corridor until May 6th (Tuesday, a substitute holiday). After that, it will be exhibited in France, other European countries, and the United States.
Please take this opportunity to take a look!
